Your Opinion of Me is None of My Business

How other people see us holds such value that we will go to any length to be liked or approved of. The moment we engage in that type of behavior, we lose integrity and our authenticity suffers greatly.
While it might not be a good idea to entirely invalidate another’s view of us, particularly in an arrogant or cavalier manner, it’s important to not let our opinion of ourselves be driven by their judgment.
The adage that loving oneself allows love from others cannot be more true than today. We must regard who we are with respect, honor and humility.
